Logline: Bobby white wants to be a high school wrestling champion but lacks focus and direction. His Father, after being absent from his life for 10 years wants to rekindle their relationship through the sport of wrestling.
In “Fish” one will learn to be a champion from the inside before they can be a champion anywhere else. It has similarities to the movies “Karate Kid" and "Facing the Giants.”
Synopsis
Bobby White desires to be a champion. He has the heart but lacks focus and direction. Bobby's father, Carl, to come back into Bobby's life to take care of him after being absent from his life for 10 years. Bobby hates Carl for abandoning him at age seven to pursue a mix martial arts career and end up in prison. Now that Carl is back in Bobby's life, he is determined to be the father that he couldn't be before and with the help of God, restore a loving relationship with his son.
I believe “Fish” is marketable for all ages. It's a great story for those seeing sports action, with lessons of restoration, bits of teen romance, humor, and comparison of two types of father and son relationships. “Fish” has a griping storyline with a surprising twist at the end.
KEY SCENES TO WATCH FOR: Bobby and Mark Gunner( the bully) used to be best friends when they were real little. They both keep a tiny photo of them together
Mark Gunner's father preaches perfectionism but Mark finds out he was always a phony
Bobby's father, Carl, has a big moment of regret leaving Bobby when he was little to pursue his own goals
Mark tries to intimidate Bobby by slapping him before the "Big Match" Bobby offers his other cheek
The main lessons are ...
1. Train hard and never give up.
2 learn to be a champion from the inside with God before you can be a champion on the mat.
3. Forgiveness
The Way You See Me
Screenwriter: Richard Grahn
Genre: Drama
Estimated screen rating: PG or PG-13
Logline: A young perfectionist named Mary who thinks she has to go out of her way to win favor from God and everyone around her has her life flipped upside down when she is offered a deal of a lifetime by an Award-Winning recording artist who tells her she has a hit song. She has to put herself back together when she discovers her "Golden Ticket" is a bit tarnished and her road to success isn't as smooth as she dreamed it would be
“The Way You See Me” is a story of transformation and discovery of oneself in relationship to their Father God in Heaven and where one learns to rest in His presence rather than trying to perform to get His attention. This has similarities to “Grace Unplugged” "Almost Famous" and inspirational as “War Room”.
SYNOPSIS
Mary Mc Bride is a musician who has a song that will glorify God and impact the world but no one will take her seriously. Carrie Brown is Mary's best friend who believes in Mary's talent. Brad Davis is a pop-country star looking for a hit to bring him back on top and will do anything to get it. Carrie convinces Mary to attend the Brad Davis concert in hopes to pitch her song to the award-winning recording artist. Brad loves her song. She thinks he offers her a partnership but actually gets more than she bargained for.
I believe “The Way You See Me" is marketable to young adults and mature audiences seeking a gripping story of truly understanding what it means to be a true child of God and how sometimes the big messes in our life aren't that big of a deal if we learn to rest at God's feet and trust who He is.
KEY SCENES TO WATCH FOR: 1) The difference between the prayer of a "Card Carrying Christian" and Mary.
2)The interaction between Mary and her mother Francis when Francis tries to get Mary to attend her sisters funeral.
3)How Mary and her best friend Carrie learn that their mission is spreading the gospel, not a music career.
4)How a hint of romance is sparked between Mary and Brad's nephew, Jimmy from a sincere apology after he mistakenly wronged her integrity
